Veggies, TikTok, and Coffee: Allans daily essentials
In this kitchen styled by Allan Torp for Copi, the sleek design of Stelton’s Cylinda-line complements the rich wood cabinetry and marble backsplash. Allan’s approach blends simplicity and elegance, resulting in a timeless yet functional space.
”I’ve always had a deep love for food and its culture. I enjoy both cooking and eating, and I’m not picky—I love to explore new flavors. After traveling extensively, I’ve been lucky to try many different cuisines from around the world. Lately, I’ve been eating more vegetarian dishes, and this summer, I found myself making a green dish from TikTok over and over again. It’s so simple: broccoli, peas, and chickpeas with a tahini dressing. As for coffee, it’s a must for me every morning. It’s the first thing I do when I wake up—brew a cup, sit down with a podcast or audiobook, and enjoy.
At home, I prefer filter coffee with milk, but if I’m out, I usually go for a cortado or flat white. Stelton also plays a part in my coffee routine; their on-the-go cup is a lifesaver when I’m rushing out the door and still want to bring my coffee along.”

”Stelton’s BRUS, Pilastro glasses, and Cylinda-line might be designed by different people at different times, but they all share the same design DNA. That’s what I love about Danish design—there’s an inner compass that ties everything together, creating a timeless, cohesive look.”

Scandi Style... with a Pop of Color!
When it comes to my personal style, I’d say I’m drawn to Scandinavian design with a twist. After living in Los Angeles for a while, I’ve been inspired by the aesthetics from there, and I like mixing that with the clean, minimalistic lines of Nordic design. Don’t get me wrong, I love Danish design, but sometimes it can feel too beige for my taste. I appreciate a bit of color, texture, and pattern to keep things interesting. That’s why I admire Stelton’s approach to design—minimalistic, yet instantly recognizable. One product that stands out to me is Arne Jacobsen’s timeless steel coffee jug. It’s perfectly aligned with the style I love.
”Think about the difference between eating at McDonald’s versus Noma—it’s not just the food; it’s the entire atmosphere that makes the experience.”

From McDonald’s to Noma: It’s All About Atmosphere
Architecture has always played a significant role in my life. The spaces we move through shape our environments and have a huge impact on how we feel and function. One building that’s always captivated me is the Sydney Opera House. Its sculptural form and the way it harmonizes with the surrounding landscape are simply stunning. I also believe that the design of a home influences how we experience food and social gatherings. Think about the difference between eating at McDonald’s versus Noma—it’s not just the food; it’s the entire atmosphere that makes the experience.
“BRUS” is the sound of bubbling and freshly made sparkling water right in your own kitchen.
